Those of you who have sat with me and reviewed your family images know how important family is to me, I wouldn't be doing this if my passion wasn't about creating beautiful images for families. I've had thousands of images published, over 150 magazine covers and thousands of commercial images. Even today...the images that move me the most or those of families and children.
As a husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, nephew I cherish those images with the ones I love the most. In this crazy political world...yes I know there are times I need to keep my opinions to myself! I need to listen to Lori a little bit more, LOL! What are we doing to reinforce family? I would almost bet if we added the total square inches of big screen tv's in our home it would be dramatically less than the total square inches of family portraits on display! Think back 25 years growing up at home, I'd bet your home was a lot like mine. Mom or Grandma had "THE WALL!" This place where that terrible senior picture of you with huge hair and terrible smile was displayed...oh wait..that's mine!
As a society we are losing touch with family, there are many reasons why but it's my belief this is partly due to lack of reinforcement in the home. Sure we tell our wives we love them, we buy nice things for our kids, we work harder than ever to make sure they have everything they need and get the best education. What happens when you aren't around? What reinforces them that no matter what happens we are all in this together, that no matter what happens WE ARE FAMILY!
How can you do this? Simply have beautiful images of your family displayed large on your wall. It's proven we learn and change behavior based on subliminal messages.
