Frequently Asked Questions
- What should we wear for our Santa experience?
-
To create timeless and classic photographs, we recommend the entire family to dress in classic Christmas pajamas. If you're looking for suggestions on where to purchase high-quality pajamas, one of our favorite stores is Only Little Once (online store). Their gowns are high quality, notably soft, and many families have told us that their little ones continue to wear them frequently after our sessions. Target and Amazon have great selections, especially if you are looking for matching family pajamas.
- Can we have more than one family in the session?
-
The Magic of Santa™ Experience is designed to progress in a certain order, capturing memories of your family along the way. When there are multiple families, or grandparents with grandchildren from different families, it takes more time to capture those memories. In those cases, you are required to book a cousin session (while booking you will need to select the add-on for Cousin session) so that it will schedule you for a longer time. This will insure that each family has enough time for their own pictures, as well as group photographs.
- Do you allow pets?
-
We consider pets as part of the family, so feel free to bring them with you. All pets are required to be on a leash or in a carrier until they arrive. We recommend bringing a favorite toy and some treats.
- What can I do if my child is afraid of Santa?
-
One of the benefits of having a private 45-minute session is that there is usually ample time for hesitant children to warm up to Santa. Santa and the photographers have several techniques to help children feel at ease. However, we suggest limiting the number of people you bring to watch the sessions. If you are worried that your child might be uncomfortable, please let us know in your pre-session questionnaire so we adjust our mannerisms to the needs of your child. For example, a quiet greeting versus a loud, excited "ho-ho-ho".
- What does my session fee cover?
-
The session fee covers Santa's fee, the time in the studio and the minimum order for that type of session.
- Can we take our own pictures or video?
-
Sorry, we do not allow any photography during your session. The photographer will alert you when it is a good time to capture a few moments of video. Please instruct any guest with you to refrain from taking photos or videos during the session.
- When do we see our images?
-
Immediately after your session, we will schedule a time for you to return to our studio a few days later for your personalized viewing and order session. We do our best to get you in the week following your session.
COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN?
If you are an out-of-town guest, please email us prior to your session so we can preschedule arrangements for you to view your images the same or the following day after your session.
- Can we place our order online?
-
We do not review images online. We offer a wide range of products to display your custom artwork, there is no way to show these items online. If you are from out-of-town we will work to schedule your consultation the same day.
- How long does it take to get my order?
-
Once you finish your review we will edit your images and send you a proof. Once you approve your images it can be as short as a few weeks to months depending on the unique art you create. We do our best to get you as many of your products by Christmas as possible. Production times at labs and shipping times vary and are out of our control.
- Do you provided digital files?
-
We provide shareable low resolution digital social media files for images that you purchase. Social media files may be posted on Facebook, Instagram, or other social media sites, but do not come with printing rights.
